Hospital Indemnity
Hospital Indemnity insurance is a plan that pays you benefits when you are confined to a hospital, whether for planned or unplanned reasons, or for other medical services. Hospital Indemnity can help you fill gaps in your medical coverage by providing cash to help cover deductibles, pharmacy prescriptions and other non-covered expenses that may arise from hospital stays and services. Pregnancy is covered with no pre-existing condition provision.
The Voya Financial hospital indemnity plan pays a confinement benefit plus daily benefits which are paid directly to you and can be used for any purpose. A summary of benefits schedule is below. Please refer to the Voya Summary of Benefits or certificate of coverage for complete details.
Wellness Benefit Included
The voluntary hospital indemnity plan includes a wellness benefit for covered health screening tests including but not limited to: chest x-ray, mammogram, hemocult, colonoscopy, CA 125 and CEA blood tests, prostate-specific antigen testing, and pap smear.
Wellness Benefit Amount
- Employee: $50
- Spouse $50
- Child(ren): $25 (maximum of $100 for all covered children)

Schedule of Benefits
- Initial Confinement Benefit: $1,000
- Daily Hospital Confinement Benefit: $100 / day up to 30 days per confinement
- Critical Care Unit Confinement Benefit: $200 / day up to 15 days per confinement
